thorough consults, accurate diagnosis

An initial assessment with a physiotherapist at RAD will include a private consultation of approximately 60 minutes, during which a thorough assessment will be conducted. This assessment will examine your history and background. Your consultation will then move to the gym area, where your movement patterns will be monitored and analysed. This process helps to more accurately determine the nature of your injury and distinguish it from other possible issues.

An integrated approach to injury rehabilitation

After diagnosis, a full injury rehabilitation plan will be mapped out. As our physiotherapists and strength and conditioning coaches are all under the same roof, we can offer a collaborative solution in which you are completing your recovery under the supervision of experts trained in both fields. This results in the correct execution of exercises within your rehabilitation plan, which means efficient progress through your recovery. The end result is that you return to your best faster and with more confidence.

INJURY REHABILITATION DOESN’T HAVE TO BE A LONELY JOURNEY

If you come to RAD, you are likely to see other athletes who are injured and going through their own recovery program. Seeing many of them back and performing at higher levels than before the injury, while continuing to use our services, reinforces our belief that we are the leading provider of Strength and Conditioning and Injury Rehabilitation in the region.

industry leading treatment modality

At RAD, our injury rehabilitation methods combine "hands-on" treatments with "movement" based exercises. Once an injury occurs, we see it as important to keep you motivated and moving. With our elite facilities, experts in different fields, and the latest technology (force plates, blood flow restriction cuffs, muscle stimulators, and recovery compression boots), we have the capacity to do what no one else does at a level that no one else can.

A Holistic approach to a complete recovery

Our goal for each athlete is to reach a higher level of fitness, achieve superior athletic performance, and be physically stronger than before the injury, so that they remain injury free. If an athlete has a shoulder injury, a holistic approach will identify shoulder strength as only part of the overall physical conditioning program. Other elements of the recovery plan may involve running sessions, so an athlete can return to play and immediately perform at a high level (as is the case in professional sports clubs).

“I injured my achilles on a school trip. The coaches and physios have been amazing at pinpointing certain exercises that have resulted in a speedy recovery”

Kitty - Dancer

Coaches to guide and support you

An injured athlete typically goes through a myriad of emotions, such as frustration, helplessness, confusion, and despair. Support is a critical factor in breaking this negative cycle. It is not uncommon for coaches to check in with athletes outside of regular hours, especially during the early stages of rehabilitation, when athletes are most vulnerable. Sometimes, you just need someone who cares.

Should teenagerS WORKOUT AT a gym?

This is a question we hear a lot. Our answer would be “no” - if there was no program structure and minimal supervision from trained specialists. Teens can get ahead of themselves and when there is pressure from friends to lift more, it's a disaster waiting to happen. However, if there is a structured program designed to meet the developmental stage of a junior athlete, where they can train in a supervised environment (within their capabilities), then there is no reason why they shouldn’t.
